The M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle (IAR) is a lightweight, gas-operated, selective-fire weapon based on the Heckler & Koch HK416. It features a 16.5-inch barrel and a short-stroke gas piston system. The rifle includes a fully adjustable stock, ambidextrous controls, and a free-floating rail for mounting accessories. Used by the U.S. Marine Corps, the M27 IAR replaces the M249 SAW in some roles, offering improved accuracy, mobility.
