Aztech Parts History

All of us here at Azraels Armoury have always been pushing the limits of gearboxes to the absolute limits which made us start to investigate how parts can be designed and made better to accomplish this while increasing reliability. We go over this in person with customers but wanted to also list this out online so everyone is aware of the parts used in high end builds, why we designed them in such a way and what the end result is.

The Gearbox Shell

dWe designed a gearbox that is ultra durable and feature rich. Our Scythe gearboxes are made of 7075 aluminium making them virtually unbreakable while keeping the build light. The split version enables the gearbox to be maintained easier as the upper comes away from the lower with just the receiver pins removed to release it. The newest version has the option for a magnetic trigger that runs on roller bearings making it incredibly smooth while the magnets provide a nice linear feedback. The wiring channels are nice and wide making it easier to build in. The latest version also allows the user to use tappet plates (old technology) or the APACHE tappetless cylinder which we will go into further below. The design has also been done this way to allow the mag contact block to remain with the lower gearbox shell making disassembly easier.
